REGISTRATION
ENTRY FEE: $30. During registration you can purchase swag and the dinner meal voucher for after the race on Friday.
REGISTRATION DETAILS: Registration opens Tuesday. February 25 and closes Thursday, February 27th at 7pm. No exceptions. Coaches do not need to register teams online this year. Your gate judges will be captured on the start orders.
START ORDERS: Coaches should submit the start order worksheet to Mike McManus (archerhit@frontier.com) by Thursday, February 27th at 7PM. No Exceptions. You will include your coach pass request, gate judges, and racer social chaperone on the start order worksheet.
TICKETS: Mt Ashland is offering a 3 day lift pass for $150. You can purchase your racer lift pass here (page may not be available until later in February). Racers may purchase single day passes for $50.
Coach complimentary lift passes are issued on a "per school" basis allocated according to the gender and size of the team.

Each school with 3 or more racers = 2 comp coach passes

Each school with a girl's team, and a boy's team of 3 or more racers of each gender = 4 comp coach passes

Each school with 1 or 2 girl racers = 1 comp coach pass

Coach lift passes are for coaches only. If you or your coaches have a season pass please do not request lift passes for others.
Race officials and volunteers will be issued a complimentary lift pass for the day(s) they are volunteering. They must sign the mountain waiver.
Lift tickets for the General Public will be available on the Mt. Ashland website

All teams and individuals must check-in. Please only send one representative per school. At check-in you will:

Turn in the coaches Mt Ashland Liability Release Form(s)

Pick up coach lift passes (passes will only be handed out to those with signed waivers that match the name of the coach who requested the pass)

Submit gate judge deposit (check should be made payable to SOSEF)

Collect all pre-ordered swag for your team

Pick up racer swag gifts
GATE JUDGE DEPOSIT: The gate judge deposit is $150 per race per gender. This would be a total of $600 for a school with both a boys and girls team. This check will be destroyed at the conclusion of the Championship Race if the duty is fulfilled.
LIABILITY WAIVER: All Coaches and Volunteers must complete a Mt. Ashland "Liability Release" form. This waiver must be presented before receiving a lift pass. NO EXCEPTIONS. Athlete waivers will be done during online ticket purchase. Download the Liability Release here.
GENERAL INFO
WEDNESDAY TRAINING: Lane assignments and league times TBA.

A coach or parent rep must be at the top of the course at all times.

Course must be pulled and slipped by the time indicated on the schedule.

Helmets are mandatory for GS & SL training and racing (FIS certified is required for GS).
COACHES MEETING: These meetings are mandatory for all head coaches.

GATE JUDGES: All gate judges are required to attend this meeting regardless of which day you are working. Gate judging responsibilities will be reviewed along with specific instructions related to this race. There will not be time to do this on the race mornings, so attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

WAXING / TUNING: Waxing and tuning can be done at the Ashland Hills Hotel in the Galaxy I Room from 5 - 9PM on Wednesday and Thursday. Bring your own materials.
RACE RULES: OISRA Alpine Race Rules and team scoring will apply to the State Championships. There will be a modified "FLIP 30" for second run start order.
RACER BIBS: Bibs will be distributed to the coach at the coaches meeting on Wednesday night. You will use the same bib for both days. The bib is yours to keep as a souvenir after the race. Per OISRA rules, "racers are to wear their official start number (bib) visible in racing fashion while skiing from the time of distribution to the time of collection, except for in the start area." SKIS ON BIBS ON.
VOLUNTEER RACE DAY CHECK-IN: Check-in for all officials, forerunners, gate judges, and other race workers will be on the First Floor of the Mt Ashland lodge. Check the race day schedule for your check-in time.
BIBS: Athletes will be issued one bib for the entirety of the event (both races). Bibs will be distributed to coaches at the coach meeting on Wednesday night. If a racer is only racing one of the two days, he/she will receive a bib assignment for that day.
AWARDS: Historic Ashland Armory 6 - 8PM
Special Guest Speaker Laurenne Ross, Former World Cup skier and two time Olumpian from Mt. Bachelor!
Food will be provided by Casa Amiga (the best Mexican Restaurant in the Valley). $20 for a hot buffet with soft drinks provided. You must pre-order during athlete registration.
LODGING RECOMMENDATIONS: Discounted rooms have been reserved at Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites. This will be the venue for the officials, coach and gate judge meeting, off mountain registration, and ski tuning room.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION:

All spectators, including those needing to walk to the venue, will need to purchase lift tickets through Mt. Ashland.

Foot traffic between the venue bases and lodge will be limited to the following windows:

9 - 10AM, 12 - 1PM, 2 - 4PM

Restroom facilities are only provided at the lodge. Note the times above that you are allowed to walk to/from the course and plan accordingly!

Uphill travel to the venues will be limited and has the potential to change at any time based on the needs of mountain operations.
PHOTOGRAPHY: All skiers will be photographed. Images can be viewed in individualized folders organized by bib number at the Maddox Visual Productions website. Photo packages, customized merchandise, and individual photos can be ordered through the website as well.
PARKING AT MT ASHLAND: Snow Park Permits are required. You can purchase these through the Oregon DMV or at the Ski Resort.
